HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle appeared on Fox Business Tuesday morning, where he was interviewed about Huntsville's "bulletproof" economy. The appearance was spurred by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine ranking Huntsville's No. 1 in its "10 Best Cities for 2009" based largely on solid job opportunities. In the appearance, Battle touted Redstone Arsenal and NASA jobs, plus the military commands coming here through the Base Realignment and Closure Commission's 2005 decision, as reasons for the city's economic stability.
